It was decided that The people of Flint Were Going To Switch From The Detroit Water Supply To the Flint River. This had Catastrophic Effects On the People.
WHY IS IT BAD?
Lead affects children’s brain development resulting in reduced intelligence quotient (IQ), behavioral changes such as shortening of attention span and increased antisocial behavior, and reduced educational attainment.

HOw WAS THIS PROBLEM NOT DISCOVERED?
THM testing on November 20 showed only one location out of eight with unsafe levels. This was taken as a sign of all clear to the people; a foolish mistake.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection found elevated levels of lead in tap water samples at some homes with lead service lines (homes built before 1961 may have lead service lines)
